Kristina McComb

Kristina McComb is an interdisciplinary artist from Western Massachusetts. She received her Associates of Science in Visual Art with a Photography Concentration from Greenfield Community College (GCC) in 2015, where she graduated with distinction in art. While attending GCC she started an art practice merging photography and sculpture. Kristina went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (SMFA at Tufts) in 2017. During her time at SMFA at Tufts she further honed her skills in sculpture, while continuing to pursue photography. Her practice continues to be a fluid transition between multiple sculptural mediums and photography.

Kristina has been exhibiting work since 2014, with notable exhibitions at the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center in Brattleboro, VT; Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, PA; Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston, MA; and Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA. Kristina is a recipient of the Yousuf Karsh Prize in Photography from SMFA at Tufts. She has also been a Community Fellow at the Boston Athenæum in Boston, MA, where her work has been added to the Rare Books Collection
