Watch Ola Aksan make a new piece in her unique paint pouring practice, featuring a sound performance by audio and visual artist, Riley Allen. Using movement and different densities of paint, Aksan manipulates her pours to create surreal abstract paintings which are escaping the boundaries of their canvas. Allen's sound accompaniment will serve as an audio record of the event, while juxtaposing the organic nature of Aksan's work with artificial instrumentals.
Ola Aksan is Boston-based painter who received her MFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her recent work has been focused on observing the properties of paint with her pouring method, testing its responses to movement and change.
This event is free and open to the public.
