Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is heading to San Francisco this April and we are thrilled! This is a huge opportunity to gain international exposure with around 25,000 expected attendees, this will be our first time participating in an art fair.
Being a year and a half in business, we are at a pivotal time where we have had wonderful successes
Some art fair facts:
- Art fairs have become a primary source of income for most galleries, often 50%-70% of their annual sales.
- It's highly competitive to get into each fair, so we were honored to be accepted among top galleries around the country.
- While the goal is sales during the fair, it also leads to long-term development of many new clients and sales leads.
- Our booth will be 12 x 14 feet, featuring the artwork of Keenan Derby, Lisa A. Foster, and Cassandra C. Jones.
Our gallery team has become a family. We are small which means we have to work hard and efficiently in order to succeed. I am constantly proud of my team’s innovative ideas, quick work, and how they are always teaching me new things that in turn make me a better leader.
The excitement in the air before each show is tangible. There are so many reasons why I feel so passionately the gallery: the pride on an artist’s face when they see their life’s work on the walls, the client emails thanking us for providing their home with the finishing touch of art, watching my interns and part-time employees move on to full time jobs in other areas in the arts, and much more. I can only hope the overall impact of the gallery can reach far beyond Boston and touch lives around the world.
Thank you for being a part of it.
